而John Fisher在體育事業方面

He established a relationship with Lewis Wolff to jointly purchase several Fairm
ont hotels in San Francisco, which led to his investment in the Oakland Athletic
s of Major League Baseball.[3] He also has stakes in the San Jose Earthquakes of
 Major League Soccer and Celtic F.C., which competes in the Scottish Premiership
.[3]

2005年和土地開發商Lewis Wolff合作，以180M買下奧克蘭運動家隊

本身也有MLS聖荷西地震、蘇超Celtic F.C的股份

Fisher has been the majority owner of the Athletics since he and Wolff closed on
 their joint purchase of the team in 2005 and is now also the managing general p
artner. In November 2016, Wolff sold his 10% share[5] in the Athletics to Fisher
 giving Fisher full ownership of the team.

2016年Lewis Wolff將手上剩餘的綠帽10%股份全數賣給John Fisher

Fisher也取得球隊的全部掌控權

最後在今年終於成功幫綠帽搞到新球場了
